10th Anniversary Celebration

The Houston ToolBank’s first tool order went out in October 2014, so we are really excited to celebrate our 10^th anniversary in 2024! Over the last 10 years, we’ve shared more than 470,000 tools across 800+ nonprofit partners saving our network $13.6M in retail tool expense alone.

In recent years, we have grown beyond Houston through the placement of four Neighborhood Tool Hubs. These modified shipping containers bring our tools into the communities we serve, saving our partners additional time and expense. And we launched our new Tool School training program, which equips participants with a working knowledge of the safe and proper usage of tools.

We set some very ambitious goals to celebrate our 10th Anniversary, and with your support, we will:

-Continue to expand the footprint of our tool lending program through the placement of two additional Neighborhood Tool Hubs, one on Galveston Island and one in the City of Beaumont.

-We will bring in additional tools and resources to ensure we’re meeting all of the resource needs of our nonprofit partners across all of the different mission types we serve

-And, we will invest in our tool training program to equip more of our community members with valuable life and job skills.

In honor of 10 years of serving the greater Houston community, the Houston ToolBank is launching our 10^th Anniversary Giving Campaign. We’re asking our supporters to donate $10 in honor of our 10th anniversary, or, if available to you, sign up for a recurring gift of $10 per month. Your gift makes it possible for the ToolBank to serve hundreds of community partners every year.
