Tool Order Delivery Services for Southeast Texas
We offer direct site delivery services for members who want their tools brought to their door. To schedule a direct delivery, select the “direct delivery” option when submitting your tool order request through TOM. Houston ToolBank staff will be in touch to confirm availability for the requested date and time, plus any additional relevant details. Delivery is available on a first-come, first-served basis during regular business hours Monday – Friday. We require notice of at least 5 business days ahead of your requested delivery date, and payment is required in advance. However, we encourage you to book as far ahead as possible to ensure we have availability.
Direct Delivery Fees:
Direct Delivery Service fees are calculated based on mileage from the Houston ToolBank warehouse (1215 Gazin St., Houston, TX 77020) to the designated address and are applied to each trip.
- Within 40 miles of HTB = $75 per trip
- More than 40 miles from HTB = $75 + ($1.25 x each additional mile over 40), per trip
E.g. Your project site is 52 total miles from HTB, and you request order delivery AND pick up.
- Delivery: $75 + ($1.25 x 12 additional miles) = $90
- Pick Up: $75 + ($1.25 x 12 additional miles) = $90
- Total Service Fees: $90 Delivery + $90 Pick Up = $180

Loading and Unloading
PLEASE NOTE: We send a driver, not a moving company. You are responsible for coordinating the appropriate onsite team to unload, load, and place equipment for your project. We are a small team and only send one representative, which helps ensure our delivery schedule is maintained. Members who do not adhere to the policies are subject to additional fees.
Houston ToolBank staff will confirm the minimum required personnel when coordinating delivery. Below is a guide on how many people should be present to assist, based on the size of the order.

Frequently Asked Delivery Questions
Is delivery free?
Deliveries to our Neighborhood Tool Hubs are free! There are costs associated with direct deliveries, so please review the full fee schedule Please note that other program fees may apply.
How do I pay for my delivery?
All delivery fees are collected through an online payment. Invoices are sent upon confirmation and must be paid in full at least 3 business days before the scheduled delivery date.
What if I have to cancel my order?
Member agencies must provide a notice of at least 3 business days before your scheduled delivery date to avoid incurring cancellation fees. If a cancellation is requested with less than 3 business days’ notice, you will be charged 100% of your delivery fee. These rules are in place because our delivery schedule is often fully booked, and we may be turning away other partners for your order.
What if I need to postpone my order for a few days?
We understand changes happen! Notify our team immediately when any changes are required. If you already have your tools, we may be able to extend the duration of your order as long as the tools aren’t already reserved by another partner. If any tools on your order are due back for another member, we will require you to return them on the original scheduled date.
Changing your deliveries or pickups with short notice is subject to the availability of our staff and the existing delivery schedule. In the event we cannot reschedule a delivery, you will be required to pick up or return items to the Houston ToolBank warehouse or adhere to the original schedule. Fees will still be charged if the change is made with less than 3 business days’ notice.
What if I am late to meet you for my direct delivery or pickup?
Sometimes things happen!. If you anticipate being late, let us know ASAP, and we will do our utmost to accommodate schedule changes. HOWEVER, it is important to note that our ability to do so is subject to our team’s availability. Our schedule is tight, so any delays have the potential of impacting other members.
If you miss your appointment and are in contact with the Houston ToolBank team, we will try to accommodate schedule changes, if possible, but a missed delivery fee will apply.
If you miss your appointment with no communication with the Houston ToolBank team, we will wait 15 minutes from the time of your scheduled appointment. After 15 minutes, if we have not heard from you:
- For deliveries, we will leave, and your order will be canceled. Your organization will be charged the full delivery fee plus the missed delivery fee. If your order is needed at a later time, you will need to submit an additional request in TOM, and we cannot guarantee availability of tools and delivery services for the second request.
- For pickups, if the order is left alone, missing, or otherwise inaccessible to our driver, your organization will be charged the pickup fee, plus the missed delivery fee, plus any related fees for missing, lost, damaged, or dirty tools.
What if I decide at the last minute I want my tools delivered?
The Houston ToolBank is willing to make last minute accommodations when our schedule allows it, but we cannot guarantee availability or flexibility due to the high demand of our delivery services. For short-notice requests, please call us at 713-674-0262.
Can I schedule a direct delivery and pickup on the same day?
Yes! As long as our schedule allows it, and our team is available, we can deliver your items before your project begins and pick them up once you’re done. In this case, you will be charged for both the delivery and pickup fee. We encourage you to book early!
What if I want an order delivered, but have someone who can bring it back to ToolBank?
You can schedule a delivery for your drop off, pickup, or both! We can be flexible with the resources you have.
