Resource Sharing Library for Southeast Texas
About Houston ToolBank
We are a nonprofit capacity builder providing tax exempt organizations with a physical resource inventory for their programs. We enhance the capacity to serve, scale, and volunteer across Southeast Texas through tool lending, disaster relief, and hands-on tool training.
Amplifying Impact
Access to our inventory eliminates the expense of purchasing, insuring, repairing, and storing tools. This reduces the costs associated with community service and allows organizations to focus more of their resources on their missions.
Our History
The Houston ToolBank (an independent affiliate of ToolBank USA) opened in late 2014. To date, we have equipped more than 900 nonprofits with the right equipment to complete more than 28,000 projects, saving the community more than $15 million for projects and disaster relief across a vast landscape of charitable missions.
Who We Support
The Houston ToolBank has partnered with more than 900 nonprofit and tax exempt organizations since 2014, a number that grows each year. We have supported thousands of disaster response efforts throughout the Gulf Coast and offer delivery services, both direct and through remote pick-up and drop-off locations in Montgomery, Fort Bend, Galveston, Brazoria, Jefferson, and western Harris counties.
Our extensive inventory empowers partners to take on more ambitious and meaningful community projects with greater frequency—including painting schools, helping veterans, hosting food and water distributions, landscaping public parks, and so much more.
